Santa Ana Voters Reject Measure to Allow Noncitizens in Local Elections

In California, non-citizens have been allowed to vote legally in school board elections in San Francisco and Oakland if they were legal caregivers of students. In San Francisco and Hayward, non-citizens are able to legally serve on appointed commissions. The voters of Santa Ana, CA had the opportunity to determine whether they would go further and allow non-citizens to legally vote in any municipal elections.  Learn what the voters decided here:
